We're excited to provide an update on the new arena as best as we can at this moment:

The structure's shell is complete, thanks once more to Excel Projects, and the electrical work has commenced. Contracts for insulation, tin, and mezzanine construction are in place. A plumber is on standby, and the heaters and materials are ordered to arrive post-electrical work.

Our vision includes a functional mezzanine with a fully-finished boardroom/viewing area and open bleachers. A significant power upgrade is underway to support the arena, so the new poles you see being installed by Fortis are part of this effort. We're collaborating with local contractors to ensure proper drainage and a solid foundation for parking and pens.

This progress is a testament to the countless individuals who have dedicated their efforts to this project. The YAS boards over the past decade have all contributed significantly to where we stand today. Please extend your thanks and appreciation to these community members.

We're immensely grateful for the funding from Yellowhead County, The Town of Edson, and a grant from the Alberta Government. Should you have the chance, please express your gratitude to them. We understand the eagerness to start riding and the significant impact this facility will have on our community. However, we ask for your patience as we tackle the project's challenges.

We aim to open the building for riding by mid-summer, even if we're still finalizing details inside or outside. Safety is our priority, and we require sufficient time to address essential items before opening for riders. We deeply appreciate your understanding and support.
